Eco-Friendly Ways to Date for Earth-Lover Couples

Another Saturday comes around and you’re thinking about ways to fill the day with your significant other. If you’ve drained the local brunch places, or using your time inside the house to watch a movie theatre isn’t your meaning of romance, why not do something unique instead of staying at home doing usual? These wonderful and earth-friendly alternative date ideas are promised to shake things up – and greatest of all – they’re environment-friendly. Tour a local winery, travel to your local farmer’s market, or go ice skating for the opportunity to use some quality time with your significant other- while doing good for the planet.

1. VOLUNTEER TOGETHER FOR ENVIRONMENT PRESERVATION ACTIVITIES

Use the day cleaning nature trails, picking up litter, or eliminating invasive creatures in your local area. Appreciate your time being by yourself or search online for local businesses that create weekend cleanups.

2. RUN FOR A BIKE RIDE

Nothing says adventure like a zero carbon footprint. Take a bike ride through your subdivision, community, or around the town. The clean air and beautiful landscape will make for a great and interesting date.

3. GO TO AN ORGANIC WINERY

Tour to a natural wine tasting event or search a local winery to savor the fruits of sustainable farming. Bottoms up!

4. TRY ICE SKATING

Get into the wintertime spirit and slide around an ice arena for an enjoyable daytime or nighttime date.
TAKE IT UP A NOTCH: Complete the date with a comfortable cup of hot chocolate (made with pure cocoa, of course).

5. HAVE AN OUTSIDE PICNIC

Take along some natural alcohol and wine, cheeses, and fruits, and unwind on a mat under the sun. If you’re feeling very courageous, pack up your food in packs and travel to an excellent lookout or relaxing area to appreciate nature and each other’s company.

6. STARGAZE

For a passionate outdoor activity, look at the night sky, point out planets and stars, and just take in the brilliance of the universe.

8. VISIT A MUSEUM

Take public transit or walk to actual history, art or science library.  Devote some time in the planetarium, see the dinosaur exhibit, have a tour at a nature photography gallery, to name a few.
